AB  - The purpose of this paper is to address the critical issue of the shortage of mathematics teachers and professors in Serbia. The old teaching staff is drying up, and there is a lack of new teaching potential. The demoralization of current math teachers is an ongoing concern and as a result, hardly any student want to become math teacher. Soon we will only be able to realize that no one wants to teach mathematics anymore. We will focus on the causes and consequences of the perceived problem.

A note on r-circulant matrices involving generalized Narayana numbers

AB  - In order to further connect structured matrices and integer sequences, r-circulant matrices involving the generalized Narayana numbers are considered. Estimates for spectral norms bounds of such matrices are presented and their eigenvalues are determined. Moreover, the conditions under which the circulant matrix and the skew circulant matrix involving generalized Narayana numbers are invertible are given. In particular, it is shown that every circulant matrix with Narayana numbers is necessarily invertible.

AB  - We will present estimates for spectral norm bounds of the geometric circulant matrices whose entries are the Chebyshev polynomials of the first and the second kind. Some of the obtained results were verified by applying them to some known results on matrices involving various integer sequences, such as Fibonacci, Lucas, Pell and Jacobsthal integer sequences.

AB  - This manuscript introduces a finite collection of generalized permutohedra associated to a simple graph. The first polytope of this collection is the graphical zonotope of the graph and the last is the graph–associahedron associated to it. We describe the weighted integer points enumerators for polytopes in this collection as Hopf algebra morphisms of combinatorial Hopf algebras of decorated graphs. In the last section, we study some properties related to H–polytopes.

Poset cone and weighted P−partitions enumerator

AB  - For a poset P on [n] we associate the poset cone C_P := cone{e_i − e_j : i <_P j}, where e_1, e_2, . . . , e_n are the standard basis vectors in R^n. The normal fan N(C_P) of this polyhedron is a coarsening of a subfan of the braid arrangement fan, given by hyperplanes {x_i = x_j}, for 1≤i<j≤n.
Weighted P−partitions enumerator F_q has an algebraic meaning as the universal
morphism from a certain combinatorial Hopf algebra of posets P to the Hopf algebra QSym of
quasisymmetric functions. For a well labelled poset P and q = 0 enumerator Fq specializes to the
classical Gessel's P−partitions enumerator. We also provide an example of posets with the same
P−partitions enumerators but which are distinguished by corresponding weighted quasisymmetric
enumerators.

AB  - We introduce a weighted quasisymmetric enumerator function associated to generalized permutohedra. It refines the Billera, Jia and Reiner quasisymmetric function which also includes the Stanley chromatic symmetric function. Beside that it carries information of face
numbers of generalized permutohedra. We consider more systematically the cases of nestohedra and matroid base polytopes.

Proučavamo težinski enumerator celobrojnih tačaka koje se nalaze u normalnoj lepezi hipergrafičkog politopa koji se podudara sa univerzalnim morfizmom iz kombinatorne Hopfove algebre hipergrafova u kombinatornu Hopfovu algebru kvazisimetričnih funkcija.

AB  - In 1909 Milutin Milanković accepted the invitation of the Faculty of Philosophy of
the University of Belgrade and became a professor at the Department for Applied Mathematics.
"The Applied Mathematics Chair is my great desire. There I could find all the conditions to
develop my abilities and repay my people. I always appreciated mathematics as a wonderful
tool for solving the problems we face when studying nature and space", he explained his
decision. Unfortunately, very little is known about the teaching work of one of the greatest
scientists of all time. In this paper we will try to look at his lectures, based on the preserved
notes of one of his students, B. Pujić.
