Experimental determination of dynamic parameters of heat passage through the facade wall of a weekend cottage on mountain Kopaonik, Serbia

AB  - In this paper, using a dynamic RC model for heat transfer in a room on the ground floor, 
the three-time constants of heat transfer that corresponds to the different parts of a 
weekend cottage on Kopaonik were determined. The model considered the heat 
accumulation and losses through the facade wall, floor and interior part of the room. The 
time constant of the wall is the characteristic time for establishing a stationary state of the 
temperature inside the wall during rapid changes in the external air temperature and it 
represents a measure of the thermal inertia of the wall. The model was validated by 
experimental measurements of air temperatures and wall surface temperatures. 
Measurements were carried out in situ continuously for 21 hours in real conditions in the 
winter period. Air temperature measurements were made with standalone data loggers. 
The paper presents the results of the measurements, the parameters and the electrical 
diagram of the RC model and the results comparing the measured temperatures with the 
same temperatures obtained by this model. Satisfactory agreements were obtained.

Application of unstructured text based features in prediction of real estate prices: A comparative study

AB  - This study demonstrates the potential of application of unstructured textual data for predicting
real estate prices and compares different protocols for extracting features from textual data.
Performance of the different models for price prediction was evaluated on data set of real estate
listings, which included numerical and categorical features, as well as text descriptions. The
experiments showed that adding features extracted from both the translated description text, as
well as noun chunks from it, resulted in the highest R2 score of 0.768, representing an
improvement over the R2 score of 0.71 for the baseline model without text-based features. The
findings from this study indicate how the performance of real estate price prediction models can
be improved by utilizing text-based features, in turn benefiting property market stakeholders in
making informed decisions and evaluating competitive pricing strategies.

Highway Construction Cost Estimation: Identification and Analysis of the Owners’ Perceptions on Cost Drivers

AB  - Highway construction cost estimates in the early stages of the project can be characterized as quite challenging and risky. Determination of the cost drivers on which the cost estimates are based requires a certain effort (time and money), which makes cost estimates even more challenging. In order to determine the owners' perceptions on the cost drivers from the previously proposed list, an empirical research (questionnaire survey) was conducted where the respondents rated the degree of influence that each cost driver has on highway construction costs and the degree of effort that needs to be invested to establish a cost driver's value. The survey results indicated that owners invest great efforts in the development of project documentation, but also owners' concerns regarding environmental protection issues. Also, they consider contractual cost drivers, such as procurement method, to be very important cost drivers for the highway construction cost estimation.

AB  - Uspešno upravljanje projektima podrazumeva maksimalno ostvarenje ciljeva projekta uz minimalne probleme u realizaciji. Preduslov za prvo je kreativni a za drugo tehnički kvalitet projektovanja. U radu je predstavljen model upravljanja izradom projektne dokumentacije i pratećih studija, koji obezbeđuje postizanje oba kvaliteta. AB  - U doba kada raspoloživost resursa postaje jedan od rastućih problema u svetu, javlja se potreba kako za reciklažom, tako i za upravljanjem čvrstim otpadom u koji, između ostalog, spada i građevinski otpad. Efektivno upravljanje građevinskim otpadom se smatra suštinskim za postizanje ciljeva kao što su očuvanje prostora za deponije, smanjenje uticaja na životnu sredinu, prilike za stvaranje novih radnih mesta i smanjenje troškova projekta. Rad se, iz perspektive armiranobetonskih elemenata ojačanih karbonskim tkaninama, bavi mogućnostima odlaganja i ponovne upotrebe komponentnih materijala, a sve u cilju smanjenja građevinskog otpada koji se odlaže na deponije. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata prikazane su mere koje mogu biti primenjene kako bi došlo do poboljšanja trenutnog stanja u oblasti upravljanja građevinskim otpadom u Srbiji.
