AB  - U radu je dat osvrt na aktuelne probleme urbanog odovodjavanja sa aspekta pogoršanja hidrološkog režima usled urbanizacije. Istaknuta je potreba za smanjenjem negativnih uticaja urbanizacije na količine i kvalitet urbanog oticaja. Prikazane su inovativne metode urbanog odvodnjavanja i opšte preporuke za njihovu primenu, kao i zahtevi iz predloga nove direktive EU o gradskim otpadnim vodama koje se odnose na integrisano upravljanje otpadnim i kišnim vodama u gradovima.

AB  - U domaćoj literaturi i praksi planiranja, projektovanja ieksploatacije vodovodnih sistema postoje različititermini i metodologije za obračun i prikazivanjekomponenti potrošnje vode za piće i drugih komponentivodnog bilansa u vodovodima. Za potrebevodoprivrednih analiza i planiranja, u praksi i legislativiRepbublike Srbije nije unificirana metodologija iterminologija određivanja potreba za vodom zavodosnabdevanje. U radu je dat predlog terminologije imetodologije koja na jasan i nedvosmislen načindefiniše pojedine komponente potrošnje i potreba zavodom. Analizirana je kompatibilnost predloženemetodologije sa podacima sa kojima obično raspolažuvodovodska preduzeća, kao i sa IWA metodologijombilansa u vodovodima.

AB  - Снабдевање насеља водом је комунална услуга од виталног значаја за опстанак и развој
људског друштва. Водоводни системи су рањиви на ненамерне и намерне претње, који могу
укључивати различите аспекте угрожавања рада система или загађње воде. У случају појаве
угрожавања безбедности водовода могу се јавити смањење испоручених количина воде или
погоршање квалитета воде испоручене потрошачима. У случају погоршања квалитета воде за
пиће неопходно је да се минимизирају потенцијални здравствени ризици по становништво.
Савремене тенденције у овој области препоручују да процес успостављања и одржавања
потребног нивоа безбедности снабдевања водом за пиће треба да укључи израду и
имплементацију плана безбедности водоснабдевања, који обухвата следеће четири фазе:
планирање и припрема, заштита (детекција и потврда догађаја), одговор (планирање и
управљање догађајем), санација и опоравак. Планирање безбедности снабдевања водом ће
помоћи да се идентификују и утврде рањивости система и мере за рано откривање акцидената,
укључујући комуникацијску стратегију како би се омогућио брз и ефикасан одговор. Овја рад
ће дати преглед циљева, потребних активности и очекиваних резултата везаних за припрему и
имплементацију планова безбедности снабдевања водом.

Povećanje pouzdanosti procene komponenti vodnog bilansa u vodovodnom sistemu

AB  - U velikom broju vodovodnih sistema, naročito u zemlјama u razvoju, podaci o elementima sistema, merenja protoka i potrošnje vode imaju veliku neodređenost. Ova neodređenost se u dalјim proračunima propagira na izračunate vrednosti indikatora performansi (PI) sistema. Podaci velike neodređenosti mogu da navedu na pogrešne zaklјučke i samim tim dovedu do pogrešnih upravlјačkih odluka. Analiza grešaka i neodređenosti obuhvata proučavanje i kvantifikovanje neodređenosti, a na osnovu dobijenih rezultata preduzimaju se mere za njeno minimiziranje. U ovom radu je prikazana primena ISO metodologije, koja uklјučuje i zakon propagacije neodređenosti, za procenu neodređenosti merenja i njene propagacije na PI vodovodnih distributivnih sistema - VDS. Na primeru grada Požarevca (centralna Srbija), prikazan je postupak za smanjenje neodređenosti ulaznih parametara na osnovu kojih se računaju komponente vodnog bilansa i indikatora ILI (eng. Infrastructure Leakage Index), kao jednog od klјučnih PI za procenu stanja vodovodnog sistema.

Removal of Heavy Metals from Wastewater by Electrocoagulation

AB  - Selection of the optimal method for the removal of heavy metals remains a scientific challenge in terms of efficiency, cost-effectiveness and preservation of environment. In this paper, the aim of the study was to remove the zinc ions (Zn2+) from a sample of real waste water from galvanizing plant. Method of electrocoagulation (EC), which is based on the separation of the solid phase, formed by the presence of dissolved ions from inserted electrode, has been tested and applied within this research. Based on the results obtained by electrocoagulation, it can be concluded that the method is efficient and can quickly remove zinc ions from solution. The optimal removal was achieved when concentration of Zn2+ ions was reduced from 46.9 to 1.89 mg/L, after 10 minutes of laboratory EC.

AB  - U radu je dat prikaz stanja ljudskih prava u pogledu obezbeđenja vode za piće, sanitacije i higijene za mariginalizovane grupe u Republici Srbiji. Mada se stanje u ovim oblastima može oceniti kao relativno zadovoljavajuće, istaknuto je da predstoji još dosta posla u različitim sferama kako bi se ispunili zahtevi konvencija UN i EU o pravu na vodu, sanitaciju i higijenu.

AB  - U radu je prikazan pregled korišćene terminologije i metoda za određivanje potrošnje i potrebe za vodom iz vodovoda. AB  - Sectorization of a water distribution network (WDN) into district metered areas (DMAs) is a proven solution for proactive leakage control. Traditionally, WDN sectorization is conducted by local experts using a trial-and-error approach, often resulting in the identification of arbitrary solutions. Some recently published methods try to improve WDN sectorization by automating the process,
especially by using optimization. Various sectorization criteria, constraints, and limitations are introduced, which often fail to consider the issues faced by poorly managed WDNs such as limited funds and shortage of water balance data. These methods also have poor computational efficiency imposed by optimization methods used. This paper presents a new distribution network sectorization method (DeNSE), that overcomes these deficiencies. This method is based on a heuristic procedure in which WDN sectorization is driven by efficient tracking of water balance data and determining the lowest cost investment needed to maintain the same level of operational performance. The above-mentioned set of criteria is particularly well suited for initial sectorization of WDNs when major uncertainties in water balance data often lead to poor management decisions. The DeNSE method is validated and benchmarked against other sectorization methodologies in a case study of a large, real-world WDN. The results show that DeNSE can identify sound, realistic sectorization solutions that are in some respects better than corresponding solutions reported in the literature. DeNSE also enables high computational efficiency, ensuring its applicability to real-world WDNs.

AB  - In this research the object of the analysis was the improvement of drinking water treatment plant, while groundwater being a source of drinking water.
Improvements include the removal of magnesium and manganese. Improvements also mean choosing the proper water treatment technology that would meet the standards for drinking water quality. Technologies that are suitable for removal of these ions vary in many aspects, from technological challenges to cost analysis. After thorough analysis, the right choice, in this case, was two-stage nanofiltration (NF) which has a removal rate of more than 90%. The analysis also included detailed cost analysis.

AB  - Many water utilities, particularly in the developing countries, continue to operate inefficient water distribution systems (WDSs) with a significant amount of water and revenue losses. Various factors, manageable to different extents, contribute to water losses, such as poor infrastructure, high pressures, illegal water use, etc. Whilst the problem of water losses in WDSs is global in scale, solutions need to be tailored to local circumstances due to the various causes of water loss and the mechanisms available to manage them. This paper investigates the potentials of the available pressure management methodologies and their implementation in developing countries, using a case study of a district metering area (DMA) in Kotez-Serbia. The minimal night flow method was applied for assessment of real losses. A particular focus is on assessment of water savings due to reduction of pressures. A total of three methods for estimation of water savings are described and tested against data measured in the DMA under initial and reduced pressures: (i) the method based on Leakage Index (LI) calculations, (ii) the PRESMAC model and (iii) a newly-developed method which is based on the assumption that both leakage and consumption are pressure dependent. The results indicate that the third method leads to the most accurate prediction of the total amount of water savings under reduced pressures, with only 6% difference between measured and estimated volume of saved water.

AB  - Mnoga vodovodna preduzeća i dalje neefikasno upravljaju vodovodnim distributivnim sistemima (VDS) sa značajnim gubicima vode i prihoda. Ovaj rad prikazuje jednu od metodologija za proračun efekata implementacije upravljanja pritiskom u zonama VDS (OZB), na primeru Požarevca. Akcenat je na proceni ušteda u potrebama za vodom usled smanjenja pritiska. Rezultati pokazuju da primena metode, koja pretpostavlja da su i gubici vode i potrošnja vode zavisni od pritiska, daje bolja predviđanja ukupnih ušteda usled smanjenja pritiska.

AB  - In many water systems, especially in developing countries, data on the elements of the system, flow measurements and water consumption have great uncertainty. This uncertainty in the further calculations is propagated to the calculated values of performance indicators - PI. Large data uncertainty may lead to wrong conclusions and thus lead to incorrect management decisions. Analysis of errors and uncertainties involves the study and quantification of uncertainty, and the obtained results are the basis for taking the necessary measures to minimize. This paper presents the application of ISO [1] methodology, which includes the law of propagation of uncertainty, the estimation of uncertainty of measurement and its propagation to the PI of water distribution systems - WDS. Example of the city of Pozarevac (central Serbia), provides a method for reducing the uncertainty of input parameters for calculating components of the water balance and ILI indicators.
AB  - U velikom broju vodovodnih sistema, naročito u zemljama u razvoju, podaci o elementima sistema, merenja protoka i potrošnje vode imaju veliku neodređenost. Ova neodređenost se u daljim proračunima propagira na izračunate vrednosti indikatora prerformansi sistema - PI. Podaci velike neodređenosti mogu da navedu na pogrešne zaključke i samim tim dovedu do pogrešnih upravljačkih odluka. Analiza grešaka i neodređenosti obuhvata proučavanje i kvantifikovanje neodređenosti, a na osnovu dobijenih rezultata preduzimaju se mere za njeno minimiziranje. U ovom radu je prikazana primena ISO metodologije [1], koja uključuje i zakon propagacije neodređenosti, za procenu neodređenosti merenja i njene propagacije na PI vodovodnih distributivnih sistema - VDS. Na primeru grada Požarevca (centralna Srbija), prikazan je postupak za smanjuje neodređenosti ulaznih parametara na osnovu kojih se računaju komponente vodnog bilansa i indikatora ILI.

AB  - За потребе вредновања перформанси водоводних система Међународнаасоцијација за воде је 2006. године предложила основну методологијуподеле водног биланса на компоненете потрошње воде и губитака воде, ипрепоручила примену низа показатеља рада водоводних система каосредства за квантификацију и поређење перформанси водоводнихсистема, по различитим параметрима. Ова методологија се базира наподацима о појединим компонентама водног биланса, физичкимкарактеристикама система и показатељима пословања водоводскогпредузећа. Од почетка примене ове методологије, као основни проблем упримени показала се неодређеност улазних података, која се у даљимпрорачунима пропагира на израчунате вредности компоненти водногбиланса и индикаторе перформанси система (ИП). Подаци великенеодређености могу да наведу на погрешне закључке и самим тим доведудо погрешних управљачких одлука. У дисертацији је развијена метода,заснована на ISO методологији, за процену неодређености улазнихподатака о водоводном систему и пропагације неодређености на ИПводоводних дистрибутивних система. Анализа грешака и неодређеностиобухвата проучавање и квантификовање неодређености, као и мере којетреба предузети за њено минимизирање. У складу са тим, у дисертацији судефинисане и активности које је потребно предузети како би се смањиланеодређеност компоненти водног биланса и одговарајућих ИП. Метода јеуспешно примењена на примеру водоводног дистрибутивног системаграда Пожаревца. AB  - In 2006 the International Water Association proposed an overall methodologyfor breaking down the water balance into components of water consumptionand water losses for purposes of water distribution systems performanceassessment, and recommended the application of various water distributionsystems performance indicators as a quantification and benchmarking tool. Thismethodology is based on the water balance components data, the physicalproperties of the system and the water utility company business performancedata. Since the introduction of this methodology, the main problem in itsapplication has been the uncertainty of the input data, which is propagated infurther calculations into calculated values of the water balance components andPerformance Indicators (PI). Data of great uncertainty may lead to incorrectconclusions and consequently lead to incorrect management decisions. A novelmethod has been developed within this dissertation which is based on the ISOmethodology for the evaluation of uncertainty of distribution system propertiesinput data and the propagation of uncertainty to the PI. The analysis ofinaccuracies and uncertainties involves the examination and quantification ofuncertainties, and based on the obtained results, measures for theirminimization are applied. AB  - In water distribution systems (WDS) of developing countries, data about assets and consumption have great uncertainty. That uncertainty propagates to the performance indicators (PIs), leading to possible incorrect management decisions. To reduce the PI's uncertainty, it is necessary to analyze and reduce errors of each input variable. This paper presents methodology, based on a set of activities, to reduce the uncertainty of water balance components and Infrastructure Leakage Index. The method is tested on the WDS of Polarevac (Serbia) city. The example demonstrates how execution of activities reduced the indicator's uncertainty, although the overall indicator's value wasn't continuously improving.

AB  - In the paper the authors deal with the problem of determining the aggressiveness of water in some of our reservoirs, such as "Zlatibor", "Gruža", and "Barje". This is very important because the aggressive water causes many problems. It is analyzed how to stabilize the aggressive water. A mathematical model for the analyzes is described in paper, too.
AB  - U raduje izložena metodologija utvrđivanja agresivnog karaktera vode prema kalcijum karbonatu i način proračuna doza hemikalija za stabilizaciju vode tj. dovođenje vode u stanje da ne bude agresivna i ne pokazuje tendenciju istaložavanja kalcijum karbonata. Prikazan je originalni matematički model za analize, uz čiju pomoć su analizirane vode iz akumulacija "Zlatibor", "Gruža" i buduće akumulacije "Barje". Takođe su testirane i vode posle tretmana na nekim postrojenjima za prečišćavanje vode za piće (Zlatibor, Kragujevac, Leskovac).
