AB  - The development of new technologies brings new trends for children to spend more time using different applications on (tablet) computers and mobile phones. Due to insufficient maturity, children who start independently to participate in traffic, as well as due to the lack of life and traffic experience, in spite of the daily exposure to the risks and challenges of participating in traffic, this category of participants belongs to the group of the most vulnerable. Taking into account the above facts, an experimental research was conducted on how children behave in traffic on the polygon and how they deal with the virtual environment on the tablet computer through the same situations. The experiment was carried out on the polygon and on the tablet computer. The basic rules of safe behavior in the traffic of pre-school children were examined. The results of experimental research show that children on the computer know exactly how to respond to the given situation, which indicates that children theoretically know that in the traffic situations they behave safely. However, the same tasks cannot be successfully solved by the children on the polygon. This paper has presented the most important results obtained in the research and in which direction the application of new technologies can influence the safety of children in traffic.
AB  - Развој нових технологија доноси нове трендове да деца све више времена проводе користећи различите апликације на (таблет) рачунарима и мобилним телефонима. Услед недовољне зрелости, деца која крећу самостално да учествују у саобраћају, као и услед недостатка животног и саобраћајног искуства, насупрот свакодневној изложености ризицима и изазовима учествовања у саобраћају, ова категорија учесника спада у групу најрањивијих. Узимајући у обзир наведене чињенице, спроведено је експериментално истраживање како се деца понашају у саобраћају на полигону и како се кроз исте ситуације сналазе у виртуалном окружењу, на таблет рачунару. Експеримент је спроведен на полигону и на таблет рачунару. Испитивана су основна правила безбедног понашања у саобраћају деце предшколског узраста. Резултати експерименталног истраживања показују да деца на рачунару знају тачно да одговоре на задате ситуације, што указује на то да деца теоријски знају да се у задатим ситуацијама у саобраћају безбедно понашају. Међутим, исте задатке деца не знају успешно да реше на полигону. У раду су приказани детаљни резултати добијени у истраживању и у којем смеру примена нових технологија може утицати на безбедност деце у саобраћају.

On the extension of the Erdös-Mordell type inequalities

AB  - We discuss the extension of inequality R_A >= c/a * r_b + b/a * r_c to the plane of triangle ABC. Based on the obtained extension, in regard to all three vertices of the triangle, we get the extension of Erdos-Mordell inequality, and some inequalities of Erdos-Mordell type.

AB  - Concave cupolae of second sort, combined with the other regular faced polyhedra with at least one matching side, provide many possibilities for the formation of various composite polyhedra. The
paper presents research on regular-faced polyhedral structures obtained by joining the bases of square concave cupolae of second sort, with the appropriate sides of Archimedean solid - truncated 
cube, and its application in architecture, based on geometric, structural, and functional analysis.

AB  - The starting constructions is the well known ellipse construction using the concentric circles c1 and c2. By eccentricity of the center C2 for some value w, and for the preserved center of the transformation in the center C1, the degree of the obtained curve rises from two to three, as done by mathematician Fritz Hügelschäffer. If we also displace the center of the transformation from C1, we obtain a variety of higher order curves using the same principle in the constructive procedure.

AB  - In recent years, we are witnessing an increasing use of triangular modular building systems, which, especially in representative objects, almost push out the orthogonal system. Considering that deltahedra are assembled of equilateral triangles matching system, we investigated a possible application of such polyhedral forms in geometry of architectural edifices. Deltahedral concave cupola with a regular polygonal base is formed by connecting two concentric regular polygons: n-gon and 2n-gon by multiple series of equilateral triangles. Lateral surface of the cupola is obtained by folding a net of equilateral triangles to a concave polyhedral surface. The paper analyzes the prospect of such surfaces in architecture, not only in the geometry of roof structures, which is imposing as an obvious solution, but also as a structural skeleton of the whole building. The analysis includes several criteria for evaluating the suitability of these forms for practical application: their static properties, atmospheric effects, functional analysis, preferential use of certain constructive systems, and finally, aesthetic properties of these forms.

Considering that deltahedra are assembled of equilateral triangles matching system, we investigated a possible application of such polyhedral forms in geometry of architectural edifices. Deltahedral concave cupola with a regular polygonal base is formed by connecting two concentric regular polygons: n-gon and 2n-gon by multiple series of equilateral triangles. Lateral surface of the cupola is obtained by folding a net of equilateral triangles to a concave polyhedral surface. The paper analyzes the prospect of such surfaces in architecture, not only in the geometry of roof structures, which is imposing as an obvious solution, but also as a structural skeleton of the whole building. The analysis includes several criteria for evaluating the suitability of these forms for practical application: their static properties, atmospheric effects, functional analysis, preferential use of certain constructive systems, and finally, aesthetic properties of these forms.",

AB  - Researching the different types of plane curves with ovoid shape, it has been shown that there are some forms of egg-curves that may be useful for design in engineering, especially in architecture. Increase of energy efficiency, increase of streamlining, reduction of aerodynamic drag and reduction of materials consumption during construction, are the reasons for the growing upbuilding of structures with ovoid form. By the analysis conducted in this paper, it is concluded that the contours of objects can be approximated by a cubic egg-shaped curve obtained as a result of the construction of Fritz Hügelschäffer. The quality of the coherence between an actual object’s shape and the mathematical formula of the cubic egg curve is quantified by the coefficient of determination. The paper is presenting the results of similitude comparisons of the Hügelschäffer’s egg curve shape with several well-known architectural structures

AB  - In the paper, we conducted an examination of topographical
conditions of the airport Bled location, using the digital terrain
modeling. A detailed analysis of the ambience around the airport is

Constructing the Egg Curves Using the Golden Ratio of Pentagon

AB  - In the paper it is considered a construction of an egg curve
obtained by continual joining of the circular arcs with three different
centers. These three centers form sharp or flat triangles of the
pentagon (sharp and flat triangles are the basic building shapes of
Penrose tiling). They have many relationships with both the Fibonacci numbers and Phi. In such an egg curve, it is possible to inscribe two juxtaposed pentagons. We give also another construction which employs several, even infinite number of the pentagons. Those pentagons are forming a sequence related to Fibonacci sequence. The construction using the flat triangles will provide a curve which ratio between length of the perimeter and the sum of the length of its minor and major axes will give the coefficient Φ.

AB  - A cubic egg curve obtained by Hügelschäffer’s construction,
can be spatially interpreted as a plane section of a type of a conoid
set through a specially chosen 4-th order intersecting curve of two
quadrics: right cylinder and cone. That implies that the apex of a
cone must lay on the axis of a cylinder in order to obtain one sheet
surface. This type of conoid will be of 4-th order, and will exclude
plane sections by conics. We consider a special case of forming an akin conoid that would include also conic sections. If the apex of the cone is set off the cylinder axis, there would appear a double conoid, as a surface set through the intersection curve of the quadrics. Its plane section will be a double egg curve obtained by generalized Hügelschäffer’s construction. In case that cylinder and cone would intersect by a degenerated 4-th degree space curve on two conics (circle and ellipse), there would emerge double egg curve, as a plane section of the double conoid. The curve degenerates onto ellipse and a quartic curve - Granville’s egg. We also gave a mathematical condition of degeneration of the base double egg curve.

The Complement of the Hugelschaffer’s Construction of the Egg Curve

AB  - Hügelschäffer’s construction, based on the distortion of the
ellipse construction, provides an egg-shaped curve. This curve is a
mixed cubic curve, the cubic hyperbolic parabola of type A. Curve is a
three-branched and except the oval arising from mentioned construction, it contains two more branches which converge towards two asymptotes: one linear and one parabolic asymptote. Since the Hügelschäffer’s construction does not give a solution for this part of the curve, we discussed the possibility of amendments to this construction, so that the entire course of the curve could be graphically processed. We came to a solution using Cartesian hyperbole complementary to the circles from Hügelschäffer’s construction.

There  is  also  considered  an  ideal  paper  format,  which  would  provide  the most accurate result, with negligible error. As the most suitable, we accepted the argentic rectangle.

Energy efficiency of residential buildings in Serbia

AB  - In this paper, presented is the stale-of-the-art of energy Efficiency of residential buildings in Serbia. Special attention is paid to energy efficiency in already existing buildings. The average energy consumption in residential buildings in Serbia is over 150 kWhm(-2) per year, while in developed European countries it is about 50 kWm(-2) per year. In this paper examined is the contribution of ventilation losses, through the windows of low quality, regardless whether they are poorly made, or made from bad materials, or with no adeguate glass. Besides ventilation losses, which are of major importance in our buildings, special attention is paid to transmission losses, which are conseguence of the quality and energy efficiency of the facade. All of the above statements are proved by measurements obtained on a representative building of the Block 34 in New Belgrade, built in the eighties of the last century. In addition to measurements performed the calculation of energy consumption for heating during winter has been made. The results of two different methods of calculation of energy consumption for heating are compared with the values obtained by measuring.

AB  - Starting from a type of conoid which is based on a cubic egg curve obtained by Hügelschäffer’s construction, it is considered a possible occurrence of related type of conoid, which would include conic curve as a part of its plane section.  The solution is accomplished by constructively – geometrical methods, supported by Rhinoceros software package.

AB  - Konstrukcija jajaste kubne krive Hügelschäffer-ovom metodom, zasniva se na konstrukciji elipse metodom koncentričnih krugova različitih radijusa, a i b, koji odgovaraju parametrima elipse. Načinjen je pokušaj da se prostornom interpretacijom ovih krugova u bazise konusa I cilindra, objasni vrsta pravoizvodne površi koja bi kao ravan presek imala upravo ovako nastalu zatvorenu jajastu krivu. U pitanju je konoid koji kao jednu vodilju ima pravu, a kao drugu vodilju prostornu presečnu krivu ovih kvadrika.
AB  - The construction of the ovoid cubic curve by the Hügelschäffer method is based on the construction of the ellipse by the method of concentric circles of different radii, a and b, which correspond to the parameters of the ellipse. An attempt was made to explain the type of rectilinear surface by the spatial interpretation of these circles into the bases of a cone and a cylinder, which, as a plane section, will have a closed egg curve formed in this way. the rectlinear surface is a conoid that has a straight line as a directrix, and a spatial cross-sectional curve of the above quadrics as the other directrix.
