AB  - In this research paper, measurement data of air and water temperatures and 
water levels for "Bileca" reservoir for a period between 1967. and 2017. are presented. 
Based on the averaged measurement data values, an analytical expressions for amplitude 
of periodic temperature variation of "Bileca" reservoir are derived and an average annual 
temperature, as a function of the observed depth, is obtained, based on Bofang model. The 
obtained results allow thermal stress analysis, which represents an important factor for 
stability and safety monitoring of dams.

AB  - The subject of this paper is a comparative analysis of the alternative solutions for the construction of the supply tunnel section of HPP "Dabar" from km 4 + 272.54 to km 12 + 125.0 with the application of TBM technology, milling machines technology and combinations of TBM technology and milling machines. Hydraulic tunnel of the HPP "Dabar" is a tunnel under the pressure with a length of 12125.0 m, which will conduct water from the reservoir Nevesinje to the machine building of the hydropower plant "Dabar" in Dabarsko polje (Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina). Four different construction alternatives of the mentioned tunnel section were analysed: use of milling machines, use of Gripper TBM, use of Double Shield TBM, a combination of Gripper TBM and milling machines.

Correlative relations for defining the rock deformability

AB  - In the framework of geotechnical investigations of the rock mass at the partition site MHE Bočac 2 (BiH), Jelašnica dams on the same river in southern Serbia and nine partition sites of hydroelectric power plants on the river Ibar, detailed geotechnical investigations of the rock mass were carried out. They included exploration drilling with the definition of quasihomogenic zones within the drilled core, determination of RQD for each separated quasi-chemical zone, dilatometric tests in each well, seismic ventilation between exploratory wells or seismic carotid, core testing by the Point Load method and laboratory tests of the single-axial strength of the samples. By connecting the results of the one-axial strength, the velocity of the elastic waves and the quality of the rockl mass (RMR), i.e. these indirect data for defining the deformability of the rock masses with the obtained results of in situation deformability testing, with the results of dilatometric tests, the analysis of correlation bonds is carried out which is applied in engineering geological or geotechnical practice. As is known, in engineering practice, the following correlations are used to define the deformation module: D = f(RMR); D= f(RMR,σci); D= f(Vp) i D = f(Vp, σci). After the analysis, a correlation was applied which included all three indirect data and it gave the closest data for defining the deformability of the rock mass.
AB  - U okviru geotehničkih istraživanja stenske mase na pregradnom mestu MHE 'Bočac 2‟ (BiH), brane 'Jelašnica' na istoimenoj reci u južnoj Srbiji i na devet pregradnih mesta hidroelektrana na Ibru (Srbija) izvršena su detaljna geotehnička ispitivanja stenske mase. Ona su obuhvatila: istražno bušenje sa definisanjem kvazihomogenih zona u okviru izbušenog jezgra, određivanje RQD-a za svaku izdvojenu kvazihomogenu zonu, dilatometarska ispitivanja u svakoj bušotini, seizmičko prozračivanje između istražnih bušotina ili seizmički karotaž, ispitivanje jezgra metodom PointLoad i laboratorijska ispi-tivanja jednoaksijalne čvrstoće uzoraka. Na navedenim istražnim lokacijama teren grade različite ste-nske mase. Teren pregradnog mesta MHE 'Bočac 2' je izgrađen od krednih krečnjaka, teren brane 'Jelašnica' od paleozojskih gnajseva, a teren hidroelektrana na Ibru od mezozojskih peridotita i serpentinita. Povezivanjem rezultata jednoaksijalne čvrstoće, brzine elastičnih talasa i kvaliteta stenske mase (RMR), odnosno ovih posrednih podataka za definisanje deformabilnosti stenskih masa sa do-bijenim rezultatima ispitivanja deformabilsnosti in situ, tj. Sa rezultatima dilatometarskih ispitivanja, urađena je analiza korelacionih veza koja se primenjuje u inženjeresko-geološkoj odnosno geotehničkoj praksi. Kao što je poznato, u inženjerskoj praksi primenjuju se sledeće korelacije za definisanje modula deformacije: D=f(RMR); D=f(RMR,𝜎𝑐𝑖); D=f(Vp) i D=f(Vp, 𝜎𝑐𝑖). Nakon analize, primenjena je korelacija, koja je obuhvatila sva tri posredna podatka i ona je dala najbliže podatke za definisanje deformabilnosti stenske mase. Sva navedena ispitivanja deformabilnosti metodom dilatometra, geofizička ispitivanja i inženjersko-geološko kartiranje jezgra i okolne stenske mase izvršena su od strane Instituta za vodoprivredu 'Jaroslav Černi' iz Beograda.

Modelling of shear strength of rockfills used for the construction of rockfill dams

AB  - This paper presents the results of examination of shear properties of rockfills used for the construction of rockfill dams. Based on the results of a large number of experiments, mathematical model of the shear strength of the rockfill was derived, as a function of normal stress, initial compaction and uniaxial compressive strength of intact rock material. Using this model it is possible to make a realistic assessment of the shear strength of a rockfill for the Preliminary Design. The experimental data used for modelling were obtained by direct shear tests performed in the majority at the "Jaroslav Cerni" Institute for Development of Water Resources in Belgrade, Serbia.

Development of new models for the estimation of deformation moduli in rock masses based on in situ measurements

AB  - Knowledge of the deformation properties of the rock mass is essential for the stress-strain analysis of structures such as dams, tunnels, slopes, and other underground structures and the most important parameter of the deformability of the rock mass is the deformation modulus. This paper describes statistical models based on multiple linear regression and artificial neural networks. The models are developed using the test results of the deformation modulus obtained during the construction of the Iron Gate 1 dam on the Danube River and correlate these with measurements of the velocities of longitudinal waves and pressures in the rock mass. The parameters used for defining the models were obtained by in situ testing during dam construction, meaning that scale effects were also taken into account. For the analysis, 47 experimental results from in situ testing of the rock mass were obtained; 38 of these were used for modelling and nine were used for testing of the models. The model based on the artificial neural networks showed better performance in comparison to the model based on multiple linear regression.

AB  - U radu je ukratko opisana problematika proračuna AB okvira sa zidanom ispunom primenom nelinearne statičke metode(pushover analiza). Prikazani su različiti načini modeliranja zidane ispune. Izvršena je pushover analiza AB okvira (P+5) sa zidanom ispunom. Prvo je izvršeno dimenzionisanje AB okvira prema Evrokodu. Nakon toga je sprovedena pushover analiza AB okvira primenom programskog paketa SAP2000. Razmatran je model AB okvira bez ispune i model gde je ispuna modelirana pomoću zamenjujućih dijagonala. Na kraju je data uporedna analiza rezultata iz ova dva modela.
AB  - In this paper, procedures used for static nonlinear analysis (pushover analysis) of RC frames with masonry infill are presented. Also, different ways how to model masonry infill are described. On the example of RC frames with five stories, the application of pushover analysis is presented. As a first step, RC frame is designed according to Eurocodes. After that, pushover analysis is conducted using somputer program SAP2000. Two computer models are considered. One of RC frame without masonry infill, and other where masonry infill is modeled using diagonal struts. As conclusion, a comparative study of results obtained from previosly described computer models of RC frame is given.

AB  - In this paper, physical processes of adsorption and transport of humidity, which has dominant influence on the physical and thermal characteristics of concrete, has been described. The impact of structure of concrete especially pores dimensions and distribution has been explained. The drastic increase in the coefficient of thermal conductivity λ of concrete at increasing relative humidity has been analyzed. An analytic formula for λ, as a function of the concrete density and moisture content in exploitation conditions, starting from light autoclaved aerated to heavy concrete, has been given. The formula is based on experimental values for λ available in the literature. It has been confirmed that the thermal conductivity of all concretes are directly related to density and inversely to porosity and pores diameters.

AB  - The measurement of inclination on gravity concrete dams using the instrument tiltmeter is described and discussed with special reference on obtained results on the dam 'Đerdap 2' acquired in the three years period. Tiltmetar way of operation is presented both through physical principle of vibrating wire sensors and through described design of the instrument. The influence of the temperature on the measurement of the slope is specially emphasized and presented through temperature correction. Processing the results of real inclination measurements on the dam 'Đerdap 2' with and without temperature correction showed the significant difference. Statistical analysis of measurement data consisted of performed regression analysis and forming of corresponding series with the expected measurement values depending on environmental conditions. At the end we give a summary conclusion on the instrument, the influence of temperature on the measurement and statistical model.
AB  - U ovom radu prikazuje se način merenja nagiba kod gravitacionih betonskih brana primenom instrumenta tiltmetar, teorijski i preko opisa praktičnih merenja na brani 'Đerdap 2'. U prvom delu se objašnjava princip na kojem radi instrument tiltmetar i način na koji se vrši merenje nagiba primenom ovog instrumenta. Uticaj temperature na merenje nagiba je posebno razmatran kroz uvođenje temperaturske korekcije. U drugom delu se prikazuje obrada rezultata realnih merenja nagiba na jednom od instrumenata na brani 'Đerdap 2' sa i bez temperaturske korekcije. U trećem delu se prikazuje statistička obrada podataka merenja, u okviru koje se vrši regresiona analiza rezultata merenja i formiraju odgovarajuće serije sa očekivanim vrednostima merenja u zavisnosti od spoljašnjih uslova. Na kraju daje se sumarni zaključak o instrumentu, uticaju temperture na merenje i statistički model.

AB  - The goal of this paper is to assess the effectiveness of using artificial neural networks in the prediction of concrete dam deformation. The aging of dams as a concrete structures poses a significant risk for the environment, and many of them are at the stage where it is necessary to pay attention to their behaviour. Short-term term prediction of deformation is very important for rapid response in the case of any adverse events. Two examples are presented in this paper to investigate how short-term prediction of deformation can be realized by using artificial neural networks. As a comparison, a set of statistical linear regression models are established using the same data. The conclusions on the basis of the analysis and the established models are presented. The paper provides an assessment of the network structure and a comparison of neural network models for the usual concept of statistical models for the monitoring of dams.
