Abstract
The paper presents performance of two different system identification methods applied on experimental ambient vibration recorded data. The first applied method is so-called Frequency Domain Decomposition – FDD, frequency domain based peak-picking method, while the second one is Stochastic Subspace Identification - SSI method, for estimation of state space systems. Emphases are on advantages and disadvantages of both applied methods. Also, application of ARTeMIS software is presented, as a very useful tool to facilitate extracting and displaying modal parameters.
