Abstract
Soil stiffness determination in the area of very small and small deformation is a key factor for the rational design and prediction of soil behaviour both in static and dynamic load. This paper presents an overview of laboratory and field methods for strain measurements and determination of soil stiffness, with emphasis on the effect of strain rate on the fine-grained soil stiffness. Hyperbolic function which describes the decrease of stiffness with increasing shear deformation for use in static analyses is presented.
Određivanje krutosti tla u području veoma malih i malih deformacija je ključni faktor za racionalno projektovanje i predviđanje ponašanja tla kako pri statičkom tako i pri dinamičkom opterećenju. U radu je dat pregled laboratorijskih i terenskih postupaka merenja deformacija i određivanja krutosti tla, sa osvrtom na uticaj brzine smicanja na krutost sitnozrnog tla. Prikazana je hiperbolička funkcija kojom je opisan pad krutosti sa porastom smičućih deformacija za primenu u statičkim analizama.
