Abstract
Numerical method in determining critical stress in granular material using algorithm for different loading paths is presented. The constitutive relationships of the hierarchical single surface (HISS) model were used to describe the granular material during deformation. Critical stresses under applied triaxial compression and extension obtained numerically were compared with published results for Leighton Buzzard Sand in experiments of conventional triaxial compression (CTC) and triaxial extension (TE). Differences in numerical and experimental methods were for CTC test 6.2 % and for TE test 3.4%.
U radu je određeno kritično opterećenje granularnog materijala numeričkim postupkom korišćenjem algoritma za različite putanje napona. Konstitutivne jednačine za hijerarhijski model (hierarchical single surface model - HISS), su primenjene da bi se opisalo ponašanje granularnog materijala u toku deformacije. Rezultati dobijeni numeričkom analizom su upoređeni sa eksperimentalnim rezultatima za pesak (Leighton Buzzard Sand) u opitima: standardne triaksijalne kompresije (CTC) i zatezanja (TE). Razlike vrednosti kritičnih napona dobijenih numerički i eksperimentalno su za CTC test 6.2 % a za TE test 3.4%.
