Integrated management of the urban water cycle: General concepts

Abstract
This paper presents an overview of current and prospective practice in urban water management. It gives a suggestion of use of a different - integrated approach, introducing two specific aspects of urban water planning: the paradigm shift and the water sensitive urban design. The main goal of the water sensitive urban design is to optimize and integrate urban planning with the management of the urban water cycle, that is to integrate urban planning with design for the provision of water, wastewater and storm water services at a range of cascading scales from regional to local level. Instead of conclusion, the paper gives a list of major topics, ranging from engineering to legal environment and regulatory measures, that have to be considered for the integrated urban water management. .
Ovaj rad daje pregled trenutnog i budućeg stanja, u upravljanju urbanim vodama. Dat je predlog novog - integrisanog pristupa, predstavljajući dva posebna aspekta integralnog upravljanja gradskim vodama: promena ustaljenog koncepta i održivo upravljanje gradskim vodama. Osnovni cilj održivog upravljanja gradskim vodama je da optimizuje i integriše urbano planiranje sa upravljanjem ciklusom gradskih voda, tj. da integriše vodoprivredne strategije u prostorne i urbanističke planove, na nivou republike i lokalne samouprave. Umesto zaključka, daje se lista glavnih tema, obuhvatajući oblasti od tehnike do zakona i regulative, na koje se mora obratiti posebna pažnja u primeni integrisanog upravljanja gradskim vodama. .
