Maintenance of track on a solid base

Abstract
There is no common position on the limiting speed up to which it is justified to apply the track floating in the stone aggregate ballast, i.e. the exceeding of which assumes the application of track on a solid base. Different railway administrations, as a rule, have formed their positions in practice. The attempts to apply the track with ballast in the field of high speeds and high traffic and axle loads, resulted in high maintenance costs and problems with organization of maintenance in decreasing available time intervals. The strongest argument for application of track on the solid base that has been pointed out are the negligible track maintenance costs during the projected long service life. The paper presents the experiences ahievedsofar in relation to behavior and costs of building and maintenance of structures on the solid base worldwide.
Ne postoji jedinstveni stav o graničnoj brzini do koje je opravdana primena koloseka koji pliva u tucaničkom zastoru, odnosno čije prekoračenje podrazumeva primenu koloseka na čvrstoj podlozi. Različite železničke uprave svoje stavove formirale su na osnovu prakse. Posledice pokušaja da se kolosek sa zastorom primeni u oblasti velikih brzina i velikog saobraćajnog odnosno osovinskog opterećenja, jesu veliki troškovi održavanja i problemi s organizacijom održavanja u sve manjim raspoloživim intervalima. Kao najjači argument za primenu koloseka na čvrstoj podlozi isticani su zanemarljivi troškovi održavanja tokom prognozirane duge eksploatacije. U radu su prikazana dosadašnja iskustva u vezi s ponašanjem, troškovima građenja i održavanja konstrukcija na čvrstoj podlozi u svetu.
