Abstract
CAD systems for road design are mostly 2D oriented. It means that, after starting with the 3D terrain model, design process turns back to the traditional 2D documents - plans, longitudinal profiles and cross-sections. While working in urban/suburban environment or on complex multilevel junctions, there is always a need of simultaneous design of tightly interrelated roads, ramps, overpasses etc. Treating them separately, by using standard 2D projections (profiles and cross sections), cannot yield the best results. This paper presents fully 3-dimensional CAD package (GCM) for road design developed by Dejan Gavran, as well as its use on particular projects. Entire corridor, including the road itself, overpasses, underground structures, neighboring roads and other facilities, could be modeled by using techniques described herein. Finally, grading plans or complex cross sections and profiles, including several interrelating civil engineering facilities, are extracted easily from the 3D mode...l.

Savremeni CAD sistemi za projektovanje puteva bazirani su uglavnom na 2D konceptu. To znači da se, nakon formiranja 3D modela terena, proces projektovanja uglavnom vraća na tradicinalne 2D projekcije - situacione planove, podužne profile i poprečne profile. Radeći u gradskom ili prigradskom okruženju ili na projektima složenih denivelisanih raskrsnica, uvek se nameće potreba za simultanim (jednovremenim) projektovanjem usko povezanih puteva, rampi, nadvožnjaka itd. Pojedinačan i izolovan tretman ovih objekata, korišćenjem standardnih 2D projekcija (podužnih i poprečnih profila), nikada ne daje najbolji rezultat. Ovaj rad predstavlja potpuno 3D orijentisan CAD paket (GCM) za projektovanje puteva, razvijen od Dejana Gavrana, kao i njegovu primenu na konkretnim projektima. Čitav koridor puta, uključujući sam put, nadvožnjake, podzemne objekte, susedne puteve, pa i druge objekte može se modelirati tehnikama pokazanim u ovom radu. Na kraju se, sa ovakvog 3D modela, specijalnim softverskim a...latima generišu podužni i poprečni profili, nivelacioni planovi i druga projektna dokumentacija.
