The paper presents the new approach implemented through harmonised European norms to production and quality control of asphalt mixtures and componential materials. Harmonized norms were developed based on EU Directive on construction materials with the goal to remove barriers in trade. The paper presents test methods and specifications for aggregate, bitumen and asphalt mixes. There is obvious trend in defining European norms that testing of empirical properties of materials will be replaced by testing of fundamental characteristics that can be related to pavement layers behavior during exploitation based on which 'performance related specifications' can be developed.
U radu su prikazane nove harmonizovane evropske norme koje se odnose na proizvodnju i kontrolu kvaliteta asfaltnih mešavina i komponentalnih materijala. Harmonizovane norme su nastale kao rezultat primene Direktive Evropske unije (EU) o građevinskim materijalima sa ciljem da se ukinu barijere u trgovini unutar EU. U radu je dat pregled ispitivanja i zahteva za agregat, bitumen i asfaltne mešavine. Kod definisanja harmiozovanih evropskih normi postoji jasan trend da se ispitivanje empirijskih karakteristika materijala zameni ispitivanjem fundamentalnih karakteristika koje su u vezi sa ponašanjem slojeva kolovoznih konstrukcija u fazi eksplatacije i da se na bazi toga definišu tehnički uslovi (tzv. 'performance related specifications').
