Masonry buildings: Mistakes and omissions in construction practice

Abstract

In order to obtain a full affirmation of masonry structures, the excellent knowledge of all unique characteristics of this type of structures is necessary. This is mainly related to their design, analysis and construction. However, the existing experience has shown that huge mistakes and errors were done exactly in these stages. In the paper, the most common mistakes done during design and construction of masonry structures are presented, as well as, some other mistakes that can compromise masonry structures, such as errors in maintenance, rehabilitation etc. In addition, the consequences of done mistakes are shown and, also, the ways and possibilities to overcome and repair them.

Da bi zidane konstrukcije opravdale svoju namenu potrebno je dobro poznavanje svih specifičnosti ovih konstrukcija. Ovo se, pre svega, odnosi na njihovo projektovanje, proračun, izvođenje i održavanje. Međutim, dosadašnje iskustvo je pokazalo da se velike greške i propusti čine baš u ovim fazama realizacije i eksploatacije. U radu su prikazane najčešće greške i propusti koji se čine prilikom projektovanja i izvođenja zadanih konstrukcija, ali i neke druge greške koje mogu kompromitovati zadane konstrukcije, kao što su greške u održavanju, rehabilitaciji, nadogradnji i dr. Prikazane su, takođe, i posledice ovih grešaka, kao i načini i mogućnosti njihovog otklanjanja.
