Controls at river confluences with discordant beds

Uticajni činioci na rečnim ušćima sa izdignutim dnom pritoke

Abstract
The role of four parameters that are controlling river confluence hydrodynamics at discordant beds confluences is investigated using 3D numerical model. These are: the junction angle α, the momentum-flux ratio between the river and tributary channels MR, the width-ratio of the two upstream channels Bp/BR and the upstream planform curvature Bp/Rp. Only confluences of wide-channels (B/h ' 5) with non-dimensional elevation of the tributary bed of Δzp/hn = 0.5 are considered. The paper aims at providing the designers with the guidelines for river training at confluences and proper positioning of the outlet structures. The main conclusion concerning 1D modelling procedure is that the Hager's correction coefficient for the mean flow angle δ at the tributary entrance to the confluence is not constant, i.e. it depends both on the α and MR. Additionally, the magnitude of the inertia-force component acting in the main-river direction might be overestimated by 30% if calculated using the mean δ-a...ngle value instead of integrating the corresponding momentum-flux component over the downstream tributary cross-section. .

U ovom radu se pomoću numeričkog modela prostornog tečenja ispituje uticaj četiri izabrana činioca na hidrodinamiku ušća sa izdignutim dnom pritoke. To su: ugao uliva α, odnos sila inercije reke i pritoke MR, odnos širina korita pritoke i reke Bp/BR i stepen zakrivljenosti trase pritoke Bp/Rp. Razmatraju se asimetrična ušća širokih pravougaonih korita (B/h ' 5) kod kojih je stepen izdignutosti dna korita pritoke iznad dna reke Δzp/hn = 0.5. Cilj je da se projektantima, na osnovu rezultata ovih istraživanja, daju smernice za uređenje rečnih ušća i postavljanje ispusta. Jedan od najbitnijih zaključaka ovog istraživanja je da u linijskom modelu ušća Hagerov koeficijent popravke srednje vrednosti ugla skretanja toka δ na ušću nije konstantan, već da zavisi od ugla uliva i parametra MR. Takođe je utvrđeno da intenzitet komponente sile inercije pritoke koja deluje u pravcu toka reke može biti precenjen i do 30% ako se umesto integracije odgovarajuće komponente količine kretanja po poprečnom ...preseku za proračun koristi srednja vrednost ugla δ. .
