Forecasting of THM concentration in distribution water supplying network
Prognoza sadržaja trihalometana u distribucionoj vodovodnoj mreži
Apstrakt
The presence of free chlorine is a prerequisite for the formation of THM's, The THM concentration increases with extending the reaction time between natural organic matter and disinfectants, which means that these products are formed in the distribution network as long as there is residual chlorine in the water. Modeling and better understanding of the mechanisms of chlorine degradation and THM's formation is of great importance in the management of water systems and improving the quality of water delivered on the tap. This paper presents some of the possibilities to model the content of residual chlorine and THM in water supply networks. Special attention is placed to comparative analysis of the chlorine decay and THM growth in EPANET software package. The network and water quality parameters were taken for existing water supply system of the Petrovac na Mlavi settlement. .
Prisustvo slobodnog hlora je preduslov za formiranje THM-a. Koncentracija THM raste sa produžavanjem vremena reakcije između prirodnih organskih materija i dezinfektanta, što znači da se ovi proizvodi formiraju u distribucionoj mreži dokle god ima rezidualnog hlora. Modeliranje i bolje razumevanje mehanizama razgradnje hlora i formiranja THM-a je od velikog značaja u upravljanju vodovodnim sistemima i poboljšanju kvaliteta isporučene vode. U radu su prikazani neki od načina za modeliranje sadržaja reziduala hlora i THM-a u vodovodnim mrežama. Posebna pažnja je posvećena uporednoj analizi rezidualnog hlora i THM u slučaju da se oni kao parametri kvaliteta modeliraju u programskom paketu EPANET. Kao primer, korišćena je postojeća vodovodna mreža naselja Petrovac na Mlavi. .
