Life cycle assessment (LCA) aspects of concrete
Апстракт
The concrete industry is considered to be a large consumer of energy and natural resources, and is one of the main sources of greenhouse emissions and waste generation. The production and utilization of concrete and concrete structures have a large impact on the environment, and so the environmental assessment of concrete is of great importance in terms of achieving a sustainable society. This chapter includes instructions on how to apply the life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology to concrete, including a general description, life cycle inventory and life cycle impact assessment of concrete, future trends and sources of further information.
