Abstract
The SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) method for solving fluid dynamics equations is presented in this paper. The main aim of this paper is to present theoretical aspects of the method which is used in numerical modelling of rapidly varying free-surface flows. This paper also deals with application of The SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) method in numerical modelling of impact flow on a vertical wall which is generated by the break of a dam. Numerical results show good agreement with experiments before water impact on the wall and unsatisfactory agreement after the impact. Further study is needed to improve accuracy of the method.
