Abstract
For correct evaluation of stresses and deformations in tunnel lining and rock mass, it is necessary to use 3D numerical models. 3D FEM numerical modeling of tunnel driving has been described in Part I along with a presentation of iterative procedure for simulating the advancement of tunnel face. In this Part II results of comparative analyses of stress-strain states at tunnel lining and ground obtained from iterative computation and simplified single step computation are presented. Results of parametric studies carried out to investigate the influence of the E-modulus of the rock mass, overburden height and tunnel diameter on the deformation and the stresses in the lining and ground are also presented. .
