Examples of performance improvement of concrete and mortar by means of fiber reinforcement

Abstract
The basic properties of fiber reinforced composites (concrete and mortar) are presented in this paper. Based on their own experimental testing results, the authors analyze the examples of performance improvement of fiber reinforced concrete and mortar in comparison to classical composites made without fiber addition. The example of concrete reinforced with hooked steel fibers, as well as two examples of fiber reinforced mortar based on mono filament polypropylene fibers (one made with river sand, the other with recycled crushed brick as aggregate: are presented. The main attention has been paid to improvement of mechanical properties (tensile, flexural and shear strength), deformation (σ-ε diagram) and rheological characteristics (shrinkage) of fiber reinforced composites. .
U radu je dat prikaz osnovnih svojstava mikroarmiranih kompozita tipa maltera i betona. Na osnovu rezultata sopstvenih eksperimentalnih istraživanja, autori analiziraju primere poboljšanja pojedinih performansi mikroarmiranih betona i maltera u odnosu na klasične kompozite spravljene bez dodatka vlakana. Prikazan je primer betona armiranog čeličnim vlaknima sa zakrivljenim krajevima, kao i dva primera maltera na bazi monofilamentnih polipropilenskih vlakana (jedan spravljen sa rečnim peskom, a drugi sa recikliranom drobljenom opekom kao agregatom). Akcenat je slavljen na poboljšanje mehaničkih svojstava (čvrstoće pri zatezanju, savijanju i smicanju), kao i deformacionih (σ-ε dijagram) i reoloških karakteristika (skupljanje) mikroarmiranih kompozita.
