AB  - U ovom radu je shematski i fragmentarno prikazan niz najvažnijih analiza i faza kod projektovanja sistema za kanalisanje kišnih voda u gradskim uslovima, na osnovu više od 40 godina iskustva članova Instituta za hidrotehniku i vodno ekološko inženjerstvo Građevinskog fakulteta Univerziteta u Beogradu: istraživačkog – laboratorijskog, terenskog i studijskog, te niza projekata i izvođačkog iskustva, što je započelo projektom za Zrenjanin 1979-80. godine.
Početni korak je analiza jakih kiša različitih trajanja, kao osnovnim podlogama iako se podaci o merodavnim kišama najčešće „prenose“ sa bliskih lokacija, daje se pregled potrebnih podloga za analizu i modeliranje oticaja kišnih voda, potom prikazuju vrste merenja u kanalizacionim sistemima, diskutuju i drugi aspekti u skladu sa konceptom i zadatim stepenom zaštite od kišnih voda – prihvatljivim rizikom od poplava – na bazi projektnog zadatka za formiranje tehničkog rešenja. Bitno je da projektom treba osigurati i bezbedno odvijanje pešačkog i motornog saobraćaja na ulicama, na prelazima i kolovozima, kao i zaštitu okoline od zagađenja kišnim oticajem koji, šta više, može da se koristi.
Opisani su aspekti i efekti kanalisanja i ispuštanja kišnih voda, koje su do 70-ih godina smatrane „čistim“, na životnu sredinu, prvenstveno na recipijente - vodotoke, dok se poslednjih 20-ak godina koriste kao izvori voda za razne namene.
AB  - The paper presents schematic and fragmentary approach to rain water in urban conditions, according to the basic stages od design project procedure that is based on more than 40 years of experience of members of the Institute of Hydraulic and Water Ecological Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Belgrade, including research, laboratory and field works, preliminary and main designs and execution works experience.

As first and important step is analysis of short duration high intensity rainfall usually based on near by gauge data through required analysis of background information for modelling of rainfall runoff, together with measurements in drainage systems, based on Terms of references, that includes concept and protection level from rain water – acceptable risk of flood, and finaly development of technical solution. The solution also needs to ensure safe pedestrian and motor traffic on streets, at crossings and on pavements. Before the 70-ies the effects of collecting and discharge of rainfall runoff was considered not poluted on the environment, primarily on the recipients – watercourses, what was found being wrong. Yet, during last two decades after treatment rainfall runoff being used as water sources.

AB  - U današnje vreme javlja se potreba za povećanim stepe-nom zaštite od poplava, kako zbog izazova koje donose klimatske promene, tako i zbog sve veće vrednosti do-bara koje želimo da štitimo. Ono što je takoĊe neophod-no je da se u upravljanju rizikom od poplava sve više primenjuju integralni i holistiĉki pristupi. Takvi pristupi podrazumevaju i primenu zelene infrastrukture i prirodi bliskih rešenja, koja ispunjavanju osnovni cilj smanjenja rizika od poplava, ali koja istovremeno donose i dodatne dugoroĉne koristi sa ekološkog i socio-ekonomskog as-pekta, kao što je povećanje zelenih prostora, povećanje biodiverziteta, poboljšanje kvaliteta vode i vazduha, mogućnosti za rekreaciju stanovništva, i mnoge druge. Sveukupno, takva rešenja doprinose povećanju vred-nosti funkcija koje prirodni ekosistemi pružaju, a time i povećanju ukupnog prirodnog kapitala. U radu je pri-kazana metodologija i rezultati vrednovanja doprinosa zelenih mera za zaštitu od poplava vrednostima funkcija ekosistema na slivu reke Tamnave u zapadnoj Srbiji. Na primeru pošumljavanja kao antierozione mere pokazano je kako se može odrediti lokalna vrednost uloge ekosi-stema u spreĉavanju erozije. Ta vrednost je procenjena na 16.8 €/ha/god. Ukupni godišnji doprinos svih rele-vantnih funkcija ekosistema na slivu je procenjena na izmeĊu 111 i 329 miliona €.

Statistical analysis of floods at the Danube and Sava confluence at Belgrade

AB  - The paper presents a methodology for analysis of the coincident annual maximum floods of the Danube and Sava Rivers at their confluence in Belgrade, as a part of the flood control project aimed to provide boundary conditions for the hydraulic modelling of the confluence sector. The Danube and Sava confluence is under back-water effect from the Iron Gate Reservoir. Estimating the probability of coincidence of floods at the Danube and Sava confluence is crucial for the efficient protection of Belgrade against floods because the Sava floods can have a significant contribution to the Danube floods. Due to the Iron Gate backwater effect, stream-flow measurements are not performed systematically near the Danube and Sava confluence at Belgrade. Flood assessment has therefore to be based on the data recorded at upstream gauging stations. Particularly, the only useful flood flows measurement data on the Danube upstream of Belgrade are available at the Bogojevo gauging station, which is located upstream of the confluence of the Tisa River with the Danube. This situation imposed that the design floods of the Danube immediately upstream of the Sava confluence should be estimated by considering coincident floods of the Danube at Bogojevo and of the Tisa River at Senta. The methodological approach in this paper has therefore included the establishment of a trivariate distribution of annual maximum floods of the Danube, the Tisa and the Sava rivers, based on the observed data. The identified trivariate distribution is then used in Monte Carlo experiments to simulate annual maxima of the Danube upstream of Tisa and of the Tisa, which were combined into the flood flows of the Danube upstream of Belgrade. This simulated flood series and the simulated Sava floods are then used for the assessment of the coincidence probability at the Danube and Sava confluence.
AB  - U radu je prikazan postupak analize koincidencije maksimalnih godišnjih protoka na Dunavu i Savi u zoni Beograda, koja je specifična po tome što se nalazi pod usporom akumulacije Đerdap. Za efikasnu zaštitu od velikih voda u zonama ušća dve reke od ključnog značaja je procena verovatnoće koincidencije velikih voda obe reke, s obzirom da velike vode pritoke mogu uticati na velike vode glavne reke. U zoni Beograda posle uspostavljanja akumulacije Đerdap ne postoje sistematska merenja protoka, pa se računski protoci velikih voda i njihova koincidencija moraju proceniti na osnovu protoka na uzvodnim stanicama. Metodološki postupak sastojao se od analize godišnje koincidencije velikih voda Dunava, Tise i Save na osnovu raspoloživih podataka, pri čemu je određena trodimenzionalna raspodela velikih voda na ove tri reke kojom se uzima u obzir korelacija između pojave velikih voda na njima. Monte Karlo simulacijama iz dobijene trodimenzionalne raspodele formirana je raspodela velikih voda na Dunavu uzvodno od Beograda i određena koincidencija godišnjih maksimuma Dunava i Save kod Beograda.

Metodološki postupak sastojao se od analize godišnje koincidencije velikih voda Dunava, Tise i Save na osnovu raspoloživih podataka, pri čemu je određena trodimenzionalna raspodela velikih voda na ove tri reke kojom se uzima u obzir korelacija između pojave velikih voda na njima. Monte Karlo simulacijama iz dobijene trodimenzionalne raspodele formirana je raspodela velikih voda na Dunavu uzvodno od Beograda i određena koincidencija godišnjih maksimuma Dunava i Save kod Beograda.",

AB  - The paper presents a novel method for hypolimnetic oxygenation by electrolysis of water. The performance of the method is investigated by the laboratory and the field experiment. The laboratory experiment is conducted in a 90 L vessel, while the field experiment is conducted at the lake Biwa in Japan. In order to provide a better insight into involved processes, a numerical model for simulation of bubble flow is developed with consideration of gas compressibility and oxygen dissolution. The model simultaneously solves 3-D volume averaged two-fluid governing equations. Developed model is firstly verified by simulation of bubble flow experiments, reported in the literature, where good qualitative agreement between measured and simulated results is observed In the second part, the model is applied for simulation of conducted water electrolysis experiments. The model reproduced the observed oxygen concentration dynamics reasonably well.

AB  - Hydraulic structures and systems are almost always conceived, designed, constructed, operated and maintained under the inevitable conditions of risk and uncertainty, where they are expected to achieve multiple and mutually conflicting objectives. In the process of comparing risks, traditionally, catastrophic losses that have little probability of the occurrence commensurate with minor damages that have high probability. However, it is obvious that low probability major flood event can not be addressed by the decision makers in the same way as high probability small floods, which is a result of a function that generates expected values. It is clear that the above two cases are far from being equal or proportional. The paper considers the problem of the risk of extreme events and presents method for determining the conditional expected value by partitioned multiobjective risk method, and demonstrates its potential applications through case studies.

AB  - In December 2013th, the multipurpose Vrutci reservoir was the scene of potentially toxic cyanobacteria Planktothrix rubescens bloom. This paper presents the results of water quality field measurements that were conducted during the bloom on December 28th. Water temperature, dissolved oxygen, dissolved oxygen saturation, chlorophyll a, pH, specific conductivity and total dissolved solids were measured in more than 150 evenly distributed points using a multi-parameter probe. The paper provides some visual observations and information collected during private communication with the representatives of Uzice Water Supply PUC. The Vrutci reservoir is the main source of the raw water for the Uzice water supply system. More than 60 thousand consumers from the City of Uzice and the surrounding settlements suffered from a potable water shortage. A ban on using the water for potable water purposes such as drinking and food preparation was announced on December 26th. Interestingly enough, despite the obvious red-purple colour of the water caused by the bloom, the measured water quality indicators did not exhibit significant anomalies, except that chlorophyll a was registered in significant concentrations at depths greater than 30 meters. This indicates that the intrusion of cyanobacteria cells could not be avoided by only changing the height on selective withdrawal. It is also interesting that neither the Vrutci reservoir nor its tributaries had regular water quality monitoring, so the causes and the exact time of the appearance of the cyanobacteria may only be the subject of speculation. It is clear enough that there is an urgent need for the establishment of continuous and detailed water quality monitoring that will track changes in chemical and microbiological parameters. The ban on water use that lasted for 43 days was lifted on February 7th, after the newly built water intake structure ‘Susicka Vrela’ on the River Susica was connected to the raw water pipeline.
AB  - U decembru 2013. godine, u višenamenskoj akumulaciji Vrutci, na reci Đetinji procvetala je populacija potencijalno toksične cijanobakterije Planktothrix rubescens (DeCandolle ex Gomont) Anagnostidis et Komarek. U radu su prikazani rezultati merenja osnovnih pokazatelja kvaliteta vode, u toku cvetanja koja je 28. decembra, obavio Građevinski fakultet iz Beograda. Multiparametarskom sondom u preko 150 tačaka, izmereni su: temperatura vode, koncentracija rastvorenog kiseonika, stepen saturacije rastvorenim kiseonikom, hlorofil a, pH vrednost, specifična elektroprovodljivost i ukupna mineralizacija. U radu su date informacije i zapažanja, do kojih se došlo osmatranjem akumulacije i u neformalnim razgovorima sa predstavnicima JKP Vodovod Užice u ponovnom obilasku akumulacije 2. januara. Akumulacija Vrutci predstavlja glavno izvorište užičkog vodovoda, pa je preko 60 hiljada korisnika iz Užica i okoline ostalo bez vode za piće i pripremu hrane. I pored evidentne purpurno-crvene boje vode, rezultati merenja nisu ukazali na značajne anomalije u merenim parametrima, izuzev što je hlorofil a registrovan u značajnim koncentracijama i na dubinama od 30 metara, što znači da su cijanobakterije nastanile i duboke delove vodene kolone, pa ih je bilo nemoguće izbeći promenom visinske kote na selektivnom vodozahvatu. Interesantno je da ni akumulacija ni njene pritoke nisu imale redovan monitoring, pa se o uzrocima i vremenu pojave cijanobakterija danas samo nagađa. Sada je jasno da postoji potreba za uspostavljanjem kontinualnog monitoringa koji bi obuhvatio veći broj hemijskih i mikrobioloških parametara. Zabrana korišćenja vode, koja je stupila na snagu 26. decembra, ukinuta je 7. februara, tek kada je na cevovod sirove vode povezano izvorište “Sušička vrela”.

AB  - This paper presents the results of measurements and numerical modeling of water temperature changes in reservoir Celije in the period from April to October 2012. Reservoir Celije on the river Rasina, for many years attracts the attention of the general public and researchers, due to the importance of water management and impact of wastewater from the upper part of the basin. Reservoir Celije is a major source of PUC Krusevac Waterworks, but is also the recipient of municipal and industrial wastewater from the municipalities of Brus and Blace. Paper uses a two-dimensional model (CE QUAL W2), with transverse averaged hydrodynamic equations for the velocity and temperature field modeling in the vertical longitudinal plane. Data on the water temperature were collected in the field sampling campaigns, using multi - parameter probes. Model calibration enabled good comparison of measured and calculated temperatures, with average absolute deviation of about 0.7oC. For enhanced model performance, it would be necessary to reduce the uncertainty of the input data, which can be achieved by re- commissioning of the measuring station Ravni (upstream of the reservoir) and setting automatic weather station in the vicinity of the barrier.
AB  - U radu je dat prikaz rezultata merenja i modeliranja sezonskih promena temperature vode u akumulaciji Ćelije u periodu od aprila do oktobra 2012. godine. Akumulacija Ćelije na Rasini, već duži niz godina privlači pažnju šire javnosti i istraživača, obzirom na vodoprivredni značaj i stepen ugroženosti otpadnim vodama iz gornjeg dela sliva. Akumulacija Ćelije je glavno izvorište kruševačkog vodovoda, ali je ujedno i recipijent komunalnih i industrijskih otpadnih voda iz opština Brus i Blace. U radu je korišćen dvodimenzionalni model (CE QUAL W2), sa poprečno osrednjenim hidrodinamičkim jednačinama za modeliranje polja brzina i polja temperatura u vertikalnoj podužnoj ravni. Podaci o temperaturi vode su prikupljeni u kampanjama terenskih merenja, primenom multiparametarskih sondi. Kalibracijom modela, postiglo se dosta dobro poklapanje izmerenih i izračunatih temperatura, sa prosečnim apslutnim odstupanjem od oko 0,7oC. Za unapređen učinak modela, potrebno bi bilo smanjiti neodređenost ulaznih podataka, što bi se postiglo ponovnim puštanjem u pogon merne stanice Ravni (uzvodno od akumulacije) i postavljanjem kompletne automatske meteorološke stanice u blizini pregradnog profila.

Managing energy costs in water distribution systems

AB  - The reduction of energy consumption is one of the first steps in fighting operational costs in Water Distribution Systems (WDS). Finding the optimal energy savings procedure and its implementation into a real-time control framework will always be a hot topic in the engineering of these systems. Several possible operational algorithms are presented for the WDS of the City of Uzice, Serbia, as an example. The Uzice WDS system is one of the most complex WDS in Serbia, with more than 30 tanks and pump stations and over 300 km of a distribution network area that spreads between 380 and 890 meters above sea level. Following Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system integration, a hydraulic WDS simulation model was developed using real-time measured and field-collected data. The model's output was used to update SCADA parameters. This procedure enabled significant energy savings by maximizing pump operational time during the low tariff (night) and by controlling the simultaneous work of major power consumers.

AB  - The paper presents some reflections about use of hydraulic transients in identification of pipe system characteristics. Controlled and safe transients can be used to excite pipe network to respond to change in flows/pressures. However, information about leaks, blockages, air pockets and other obstacles which are held in pressure recordings cannot be easily extracted. Coupled to the difficulties of knowing exact network layout and assets, this can lead to reluctance of use transients as system probe. As a possible answer to these problems a theoretical basis for "hydraulic" procedure for leakage detection, is again revealed. Originating from dimension analysis, simple relationship is presented. It can be used for leak detection from time domain pressure signal and for planning the real world measurements where the information is processed in frequency or wavelet domain. Numerical experiments are conducted to confirm these assumptions. Some remarks about the drawbacks of the method are also stated.

Instability analysis of the air-water flow in porous medium

AB  - The paper deals with modeling of two phase (water-air) flow in coarse porous medium, where, after reaching some air velocity, instability of the flow occurs. Firstly, a linear stability analysis has been conducted for one-dimensional macroscopic model, which revealed that capillary forces are stability factor, while inertial forces promote instability. Utilizing two, the most frequently applied constitutive models for capillarity-saturation relation; it is found that instability may be expected in materials with representative grain size of 2 mm and greater. In the case of smaller grain size, instability can not occur, regardless of imposed air flow rate. In addition, the paper presents developed numerical model for simulation of two phase flow in porous media with consideration of complete momentum equations. The model is applied on reported laboratory experiments, where observed instability was successfully reproduced.
AB  - U radu se modelira dvofazno tečenje vode i vazduha u krupnozrnoj poroznoj sredini gde je, pri određenim brzinama vazduha, osmotrena pojava nestabilnog tečenja. Najpre, sprovedena je linearna analiza stabilnosti zapreminski osrednjenih jednačina, koja je pokazala da osnovni stabilizirajući faktor predstavljaju kapilarne sile, dok inercijalne sile promovišu nestabilnost pri tečenju. Korišćenjem dva najčešće korišćena konstitutivna modela za funkcionalnu zavisnost kapilarnog pritiska i zasićenosti porozne sredine, utvrđeno je se pojava nestabilnosti može očekivati kod materijala reprezentativne krupnoće zrna veće od 2 mm. Kod manje krupnoće, pokazano je da do nestabilnog tečenja ne može da dođe, bez obzira na nametnutu brzinu vazdušne faze. U okviru rada, razvijen je i numerički model za rešavanje dvofaznog tečenja rešavanjem kompletnih dinamičkih jednačina za obe faze (voda i vazduh), a koji je primenjen za simulaciju objavljenih laboratorijskih eksperimenata iz literature. Model uspešno reprodukuje pojavu nestabilnog tečenja.

AB  - One of available lake restoration technologies is injection of compressed air or oxygen into a hypolimnion, promoting vertical mixing of water and dissolution of oxygen. A numerical model has been developed for simulation of bubble flow, with consideration of gas compressibility and oxygen dissolution. Developed model is intended to be utilized for simulation of lakes DO recovery. Model is firstly verified by simulation of bubble flow experiments, reported in the literature, where very good quantitative and qualitative agreement between measured and simulated results is observed. Both flow configurations are tested: in which steady state is achieved, and where steady conditions can not develop. In the second part, model is applied for simulation of conducted experiments where oxygen dissolution has been considered. The paper presents simulation results, where good agreement of simulated and measured quantities is observed.
AB  - Jedna od raspoložovih tehnologija za poboljšanje kvaliteta vode u jezerima i akumulacijama predstavlja utiskivanje vazduha, odnosno kiseonika, u dublje slojeve vode (hipolimnion), čime se podstiče mešanje vode po vertikalnoj osi i ostvaruje transfer kiseonika iz gasne faze u vodu. U radu se prikazuje razvijeni 3D numerički model za simulaciju dvofaznog strujanja gasa i vode, kojim su obuhvaćeni i uticaji stišljivosti vazduha, kao i transfer mase između vazduha i vode. Model je najpre verifikovan simulacijom nekoliko eksperimenata iz literature, gde su poređeni podaci o distribuciji vazduha i brzine vode nakon utiskivanja vazduha u vodom ispunjen sud sa rezultatima simulacije. Pri tome, simulirani su uslovi strujanja gde se postiže kvazi-ustaljeno strujanje, kao i eksperimenti u kojima takvo strujanje ne može da se ostvari. U drugom delu, model je korišćen za simulaciju sprovedenih eksperimenata u kojima je osmatran porast koncentracija rastvorenog kiseonika tokom utiskivanja vazduha. U radu se prikazuju rezultati ovih simulacija, gde se mogu konstatovati zadovoljavajuća slaganja izmerenih i sračunatih veličina.

Uncertainty reduction in water distribution network modelling using system inflow data

AB  - In water distribution network (WDN) modelling, nodal demand is the sum of flows taken by users associated with a computational node. User demands are not fixed in time; rather they are stochastic. Hence, nodal demand is a model parameter with high uncertainty, which is propagated throughout the WDN model, thus also rendering the output values (node pressures and pipe discharges) uncertain. Total water inflow into the network can be accurately measured using flow meters. This paper investigates how knowledge of system inflow can be used as a constraint in WDN modelling, taking into consideration the uncertain nodal demands, and consequently reducing the uncertainty of the model output. Fuzzy sets were used to represent the uncertain demands and modified genetic algorithms were used to find the optimal solutions. As a test case, a set of data from a real WDN was used. The uncertainty of the WDN model output was computed for two cases: first, with the total network inflow taken into consideration; and second, with the inflow used as a constraint. Although the methodology that handles the constraints needs significantly greater computational effort, its results provide a more realistic insight into model uncertainty. The proposed methodology was verified using Monte Carlo simulation.

The pressurized pipelines: The risk of bidirectional fluid exchange with the environment

AB  - The pressurized pipeline fluid transport is supposed to be cheap, reliable and efficient. If buried, pipelines are hard observable by means of leaks, minor cracks and asset damages. These phenomena can influence both the fluid quality and the state of the surrounding environment. Hydraulic transients are described as the potential cause of fluids exchange (water is supposed here as fluid). The basics of hydraulic transient analysis are given. Pipeline system monitoring importance is emphasized. The laboratory transient research set-up is presented and some comments on the experimental results are given. .
AB  - Transport fluida pod pritiskom smatra se pouzdanom, efikasnom i jeftinom aktivnošću. Ako su ukopani, kontrola celovitosti cevovoda i ispravnosti opreme je otežana ili gotovo nemoguća. Curenja i kvarovi, sakriveni od pogleda, rizik su za kvalitet fluida koji se transportuje ili za sredinu u kojoj su cevovodi položeni. U radu se hidrauličke prelazne pojave prikazuju kao jedan od mogućih uzroka razmene fluida (ovde vode) između cevovoda i okoline. Daje se osvrt na značaj monitoringa sistema pod pritiskom. Prikazan je jedan od hidrauličkih pogleda na pojavu. Opisuje se laboratorijska instalacija za proučavanje prelaznih pojava i daje komentar nekih od eksperimentalnih rezultata ostvarenih na njoj. .

AB  - This paper presents capabilities and benefits of use of physical models for flow analysis in large sewer pipes and conjoining objects. A group of objects pertaining to the Belgrade Sewer System is modeled and results are briefly discussed. The results show that the study of flow characteristics in sewer pipes and conjoining objects on the model can be done with a high level of confidence. Special attention has been drawn to the role of physical models in 3-dimensional flow investigation in nonstandard and objects of great complexity. Also, a physical model is introduced as a reliable and straightforward tool in decision making in positioning of future measuring points in Belgrade Sewer System. .
AB  - U radu su prezentovane mogućnosti i prednosti primene modelskih ispitivanja u analizi tečenja u velikim kanalizacionim kolektorima opšteg sistema kanalisanja. Na primeru objekata koji funkcionišu u sastavu beogradskog kanalizacionog sistema, prikazano je kako se na modelu, sa velikim stepenom pouzdanosti mogu izučavati karakteristike toka u kanalizacionim kolektorima i njihovim spojevima. Posebno je istaknuta uloga modelskih ispitivanja prostornih tečenja u objektima složene geometrije. Takođe, model je predstavljen i kao veoma pouzdano i očigledno sredstvo za davanje predloga o položaju budućih mernih mesta u beogradskoj kanalizaciji. .

AB  - The paper deals with modeling of two phase (water-air) flow in coarse porous medium, where, after reaching some air velocity, instability of the flow occurs. Firstly, a linear stability analysis has been conducted for onedimensional macroscopic model, which revealed that capillary forces are a stability factor, while inertial forces promote instability. Utilizing the two most frequently applied constitutive models for capillaritysaturation relation it was found that instability may be expected in materials with representative grain size of 2 mm and greater. In the case of smaller grain size, instability can not occur, regardless of the imposed air flow rate. In addition, the paper presents a newly developed numerical model for the simulation of two phase flow in porous media, with the consideration of complete momentum equations. Applied on the data of reported laboratory experiments the model successfully reproduced the observed instability of the flow.
AB  - U radu se modelira dvofazno tečenje vode i vazduha u krupnozrnoj poroznoj sredini gde je, pri određenim brzinama vazduha, osmotrena pojava nestabilnog tečenja. Najpre, sprovedena je linearna analiza stabilnosti zapreminski osrednjenih jednačina, koja je pokazala da osnovni stabilizirajući faktor predstavljaju kapilarne sile, dok inercijalne sile promovišu nestabilnost pri tečenju. Korišćenjem dva najčešće korišćena konstitutivna modela za funkcionalnu zavisnost kapilarnog pritiska i zasićenosti porozne sredine, utvrđeno je se pojava nestabilnosti može očekivati kod materijala reprezentativne krupnoće zrna veće od 2 mm. Kod manje krupnoće, pokazano je da do nestabilnog tečenja ne može da dođe, bez obzira na nametnutu brzinu vazdušne faze. U okviru rada, razvijen je i numerički model za rešavanje dvofaznog tečenja rešavanjem kompletnih dinamičkih jednačina za obe faze (voda i vazduh), a koji je primenjen za simulaciju objavljenih laboratorijskih eksperimenata iz literature. Model uspešno reprodukuje pojavu nestabilnog tečenja.

AB  - This paper presents an overview of current and prospective practice in urban water management. It gives a suggestion of use of a different - integrated approach, introducing two specific aspects of urban water planning: the paradigm shift and the water sensitive urban design. The main goal of the water sensitive urban design is to optimize and integrate urban planning with the management of the urban water cycle, that is to integrate urban planning with design for the provision of water, wastewater and storm water services at a range of cascading scales from regional to local level. Instead of conclusion, the paper gives a list of major topics, ranging from engineering to legal environment and regulatory measures, that have to be considered for the integrated urban water management. .
AB  - Ovaj rad daje pregled trenutnog i budućeg stanja, u upravljanju urbanim vodama. Dat je predlog novog - integrisanog pristupa, predstavljajući dva posebna aspekta integralnog upravljanja gradskim vodama: promena ustaljenog koncepta i održivo upravljanje gradskim vodama. Osnovni cilj održivog upravljanja gradskim vodama je da optimizuje i integriše urbano planiranje sa upravljanjem ciklusom gradskih voda, tj. da integriše vodoprivredne strategije u prostorne i urbanističke planove, na nivou republike i lokalne samouprave. Umesto zaključka, daje se lista glavnih tema, obuhvatajući oblasti od tehnike do zakona i regulative, na koje se mora obratiti posebna pažnja u primeni integrisanog upravljanja gradskim vodama. .

Measurements on lake Zavoj for the purpose of water quality management and control

AB  - Eutrofication represents a serious limiting factor in a various utilization of water from reservoirs. In order to recognize driving processes in a lake 'Zavoj', near Pirot, a comprehensive measurement campaign has been conducted. Obtained profiles of measured papameters were compared to the one obtained in 2003. It is found that there were no significant changes in water quality during 5 years period. Aside the water quality control, provided results are intended to be utilized in development of the hydrodynamic model for simulation of water quality change of the lake.
AB  - Eutrofikacija predstavlja jedan od osnovnih problema višenamenskog korišćenja vode iz akumulacija. U cilju praćenja eutrofikacionih procesa u jezeru Zavoj, kod Pirota, sprovedena su obimna merenja parametara kvaliteta vode. Dobijeni profili merenih parametara poređeni su sa istim dobijenim merenjima u toku 2003 godine. Utvrđeno je da nije došlo do značajnih promena kvaliteta vode. Pored kontrole stanja kvaliteta vode, sproveđenja merenja su namenjena i izradi hidrodinamičkog modela za simulaciju promena parametera kvaliteta. .
